Phase 2: Teeth

A quick post today…

My husband likes to comment on how white me teeth used to be. Like when we look at pictures from high school (before the spider veins, hormone/pregnancy induced warts, and boob stretch marks) he always points out how white my teeth were. I guess picking up the coffee habit hasn’t helped my glamorous routine over the past 8 (YIKES) years since high school. Well easy fix, right?! Wrong. Everytime I plan on buying teeth whitening strips, I make it to the store- then to the personal hygiene isle – then I see the price tag – then GUILT! Ranging from $30-$45 for teeth whitening never seems to fit into the monthly budget and is something I never feel comfortable splurging on. But on our last family field trip to our Mecca of shopping, Target, I made the leap and bought some white strips.

And now, over the next 10 days, I am committed to glamifying my teeth!

Oh yeah Baby!

Let us Commence Phase 1: Paleo

Well, here I am 5 weeks after having a baby…

The initial baby weight came off just fine – I was loosing about 2 lbs a day starting out, and then it kinda … just… stopped. I am technically not cleared to excersie until after 6 weeks, (and let’s be honest, with 2 kids I am grateful for a 6 week excuse!) but I am going to kickstart my weight loss by going back on the Paleo diet! I have been on one day, off the next for the last 2 weeks, but I figure if I announce my diet on my ‘oh so public’ blog then maybe I will feel more accountability. Going on the Paleo diet was so successful and getting back into shape after my first baby (remember) that I hope it does the trick the second time around.

And there really is no accountability without data. So here are my (gasp) current measurements:

weight: 148

I guess that is the only measurement…

And here are some pictures. Warning: do not look if you are offended by skin, specifically tummies!

I couldn’t resist adding a selfie 😉

Hopefully the next 10 lbs come off fairly easily. I am in no hurry to have my husband kill me in the gym.

So with all the crazyness that comes with having a baby, why not start a business too?

I have alluded to the fact that my husband I were starting a business and it is now underway. During the last few months we have been getting ready by doing a little renovating to the space where our business is, and then spent several weeks waiting for the equipment to arrive, and now we are actually in business. And when I say we, I really mean my husband. Basically I am the moral support. And my name is on all of the paper work.

Oh yea, did I forget to mention the business is a gym?! That is right… I have personal and 24/7 access to my own personal, personal training gym! It’s a cool idea, and an idea is all it is for me since I have yet to be able to try out any of the equipment (3 more weeks til I am good to go).

Anyway, it is all VERY exciting and VERY, VERY GLAMOROUS! Just take a look for yourself.

Photo’s by the wonderful

Aside from getting the space ready and all set up we had a video and photo shoot to make some promo materials. The video is still in the works but here is a preview of the awesome photo’s from the shoot. Shoutouts to our buff and fit friends Ashley and JD for helping us out on this one! Sadly, I didn’t model my 8  1/2 months pregnant body for the shoot.

You heard me! We had a baby! It’s a girl! (one of my all time favorite commercials- if you can remember a time when people used payphones)

It has been WAY TOO LONG since I updated, but what can I say, I’ve been a little busy.

I have lots of glamorous things to update about, but today’s post will just be about my little Hadley Bear!

Born June 14th, the day before I turned 26, meaning I had babies in consecutive years at age 24 and at age 25! I would love to tell my birth story now but I’ll save that for later too!

I wrote that poem in high school anticipating that I would one day have a daughter to name Hope.

My mom already made this pic public on Facebook so I figure I could post it on my blog that approx. 4 people read. Excuse the nip slip :/

The above are a sampling of the photos we took for Hadley’s newborn pics. And my lovely mother took them this time around. She did an awesome job don’t you think?! And I even used my inspiration pics!

Thanks for hanging in there during my month+ absence. As always, stay glamorous!
